The creation of this all-day bar-restaurant, named Cataño, started from an empty piece of land with three palm trees and a magnificent view of the mountain on one side, and the sea on the other. Through these elements emerged the idea to design a day to night experience characterized by natural materials and organic forms. A celebration of generosity and spontaneity where nature rules, all senses are intrigued, and being together is all that matters.

The layout consists of a central bar, a lounge area, and a dining area with an open kitchen. Organic shapes with carefully selected plants are evenly distributed into the space, serving as natural dividers and, at the same time, as a gradual transition between loosely defined areas for eating, drinking and dancing. The combination of these purposely designed and naturally occurring elements generates a multi-sensory architecture that sits in harmony with the environment

A natural palette of authentic textures and colors characterizes all materials and furniture. The final composition of different types of wood, such as olive wood and chestnut wood, used-looking fabrics, cement and iron details, cactuses and palm trees, embodies the Mediterranean easy-going joie de vivre that the clients envisioned from the beginning.
